The buyer should be informed that the Coding Guidelines are printed in a separate booklet. This edition of ICD-10-CM was published and issued prior to the guidelines being completed and updated.
I am a coding professional and this book is exactly what I needed. It even came with the coding guidelines that were printed after the book was published. Arrived in perfect condition.
I ended up with two ICD10 2018 copies due to a shipment failure the first time around on the first one. Eventually I had two. The OPTUM branded one seems to be exactly the same in every detail (as far as I can tell, and except the front glossy cover page) but twenty five dollars less. These are huge books like four inches think spiral bound. So I returned the more costly AMA branded ones. Prices may change by the time you read this.
Useful book if you have all the pages but I'm missing like pages 46ish to about 80ish but have extra pages of 145-about 195
You really need the new code book to code correctly. I only wish that it was not spiral bound.
The presentation/style breaks the monotony of the subject. Some of my pages in the front of the book had streaks on them: somewhat distracting in the beginning.
